The numbers tell a story of operational progress. The share price tells something else entirely.

Redcare Pharmacy's stock clawed back some ground on Monday, rising 3.56 percent to close at €64.05, as investors weighed a landmark profitability milestone against a regulatory catalyst expected from Berlin before the month is out. The bounce, however, comes after a bruising stretch that has left the online pharmacy's shares down more than 10 percent over the past 30 days and nursing a 36.48 percent decline over the trailing twelve months.

A Milestone Two Years in the Making

The centerpiece of the recent optimism is a first for the company: Redcare's international segment — every market outside the DACH region — posted a positive adjusted EBITDA in the second quarter of 2026. Management has framed the achievement as a pivotal step toward sustainable group-wide growth, and it's not hard to see why analysts have taken notice.

The international operations contributed €158 million in quarterly revenue, up 17 percent year over year. The DACH region remains the group's primary profit engine, but the broadening of the earnings base gives the investment case a new dimension.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Redcare Pharmacy?

Group revenue climbed 20 percent to €854 million in the second quarter, accelerating from the 18 percent growth recorded in Q1. Adjusted EBITDA jumped 63 percent to €29.6 million, pushing the margin to 3.5 percent — the highest level in a decade. For the first half, revenue totals €1.7 billion. The customer base expanded by 1.2 million to 14.7 million active users.

Berlin's Pending Decision Looms Large

Beyond the fundamentals, traders are positioning for a regulatory development that could reshape the competitive landscape. The Federal Ministry of Health is expected to finalize new pharmacy regulations in August, and the proposed framework carries particular significance for digital health platforms.

The key provision: dispensing obligations would remain with the pharmacies themselves rather than being transferred to external logistics partners. That separation, if enacted, could reduce the risk of future legal disputes and provide the long-term legal certainty that online pharmacy operators have been seeking in Germany.

The Analyst Divide

Wall Street's consensus target sits at €86 — roughly a third above current levels — but the range of opinions is unusually wide. The most bullish analyst sees €115, while the most bearish projects just €55. That dispersion reflects genuine uncertainty about how quickly the profitability improvements can scale.

For the full year, the nine analysts covering the stock expect revenue of approximately €3.41 billion, with net losses shrinking by as much as 70 percent compared with earlier periods. The company itself has reaffirmed its upgraded guidance: 15 to 17 percent revenue growth for 2026, with the German prescription business expected to surge 35 to 43 percent.

A New Reporting Rhythm

Redcare is also changing how it communicates with the market. Starting at the end of 2026, the company will abandon preliminary quarterly updates in favor of a single consolidated reporting date per quarter, with one annual update in January as the sole exception. The next major marker on the calendar is the third-quarter interim report, due in October.

Until then, the technical picture offers little clarity. The stock's RSI sits at 47.6 — neutral territory, with no decisive signal in either direction. After doubling off its 52-week low of €30.06 in late March, the shares have given back some of those gains, and the gap between the market's skepticism and the analysts' conviction remains the defining feature of this story.
