Renk Group Preps Investor Roadshow as BofA Cut and Patria Order Pull Shares in Opposite Directions

Renk Group AG is heading into one of the busiest stretches of its capital-markets calendar, with a three-day US roadshow alongside Jefferies set to begin Wednesday, 14 October and run through 16 October. For the Augsburg-based gearbox specialist, the swing through international investors offers a stage to walk through recent trading and lay out its outlook for the coming quarters — a pitch that arrives at a moment when the market is anything but settled on the stock.
The shares changed hands at EUR 34.73 in German trading, leaving them down 36% since the start of the year. A modest rebound has lifted the price off its lows, but at just 3.7% above the 52-week trough of EUR 33.49, the recovery remains fragile. A separate reading put the stock at EUR 34.98 on Monday, up 1.8% on the day, with a market capitalisation of EUR 3.40 billion — a valuation that reflects how far sentiment has travelled from the levels seen earlier in the year, when the decline stood at roughly 35%.
A Split Analyst Verdict
The pressure on the stock traces back in part to a more cautious tone from the banking sector. Bank of America downgraded Renk roughly two weeks ago, cutting its rating from "Buy" to "Neutral" and trimming its price target to EUR 42.50 from EUR 62.50. Since that call, the shares have shed 5.5%. The analysts flagged concerns over whether the company can sustain its elevated production levels over the long run and whether demand might soften after 2030.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?
Not everyone on the sell side shares that view. Jefferies has stuck with its buy recommendation on the defence supplier, leaving investors to weigh two very different readings of the same order book.
Patria Follow-On Order Lifts the Order Book
On the operational front, Renk disclosed a follow-on order worth EUR 30 million from defence contractor Patria about a week ago, news that has since nudged the stock up 1.3%. The contract covers HSWL-076 gearboxes for the TRACKX vehicle family, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027, according to the company. The award followed initial procurement steps taken by Finland and Sweden in late September for vehicles in that model line, and trade press framed the deal as a significant milestone on the family's path toward series production.
Two Dates to Watch
Investors will get their first substantive look at how the business has performed when Renk hosts a pre-close call on the first nine months of fiscal 2026 on 21 October at its Augsburg headquarters. The format is typically used to discuss general conditions before the regular quiet period begins. The full nine-month report follows on 5 November, accompanied by a conference for analysts and institutional investors.
Market watchers are expected to press management on capacity utilisation and order intake over the course of the year. Whether the confirmed Patria contract can quiet doubts about long-term loading will become clearer on 5 November.
