Renk has used a pair of announcements to sketch out two very different stages of its growth story: a gearbox design aimed at tanks that have yet to be ordered, and a repeat marine contract that is already on the books.

At the technical end, the company unveiled a further development of its HSWL-406 transmission for future heavy tracked vehicles, pitching it at Italian and European main battle tank programmes — among them Italy's NMBT effort. Renk says the unit can deliver up to 1,400 kW. What that represents is a business opportunity rather than a signed contract or booked revenue, a distinction that matters when weighing the group's pipeline against its actual order intake.

The confirmed business came from elsewhere in the group. RENK Magnet-Motor, a Renk subsidiary, won an order from Saab for three Stirling power generation systems destined for a submarine programme run by a NATO member state. According to the company, it is the third major order in the course of the two firms' cooperation — a repeat booking that underscores the depth of the relationship rather than the scale of any single project.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?

That marine win also gives commercial substance to Renk's planned showcase at Euronaval in Paris, running from 3 to 6 November 2026, where the group intends to present an expanded maritime mobility offering. The order points to systems already sold for a named submarine programme, not merely a display of technical capability. Even so, a repeat contract confirms continuing collaboration; it says nothing definitive about further orders down the road, and the link between order intake and later earnings remains indirect.

Alongside these developments, Renk is redrawing its portfolio. Roughly two weeks ago the company agreed to sell its plain bearing business to Miba. The purchase price was not disclosed, and completion depends on regulatory approvals, so the transaction has yet to close. From the fourth quarter of 2026, Renk intends to report the bearing unit as a discontinued operation and to present its guidance on a continuing-operations basis — a change that alters the scope of the business those expectations describe.

On that continuing basis, Renk is guiding for 2026 revenue of around EUR 1.4 billion and adjusted EBIT of EUR 240 million to EUR 255 million.

The next scheduled checkpoint for investors is 5 November 2026, when the company publishes its quarterly statement for the first nine months of 2026 and holds a conference call. The task for shareholders is to read operating momentum and the new reporting basis side by side: technological progress opens up fields of use, firm orders evidence actual business, and the guidance sets out the expected financial frame. Keeping those layers apart allows Renk's recent announcements to be placed in context without treating programme opportunities as though they were already contributing to results.
