Siemens Energy shares have been caught in the wider turbulence that has swept through AI-related equities, but the company's own news flow has kept rolling. A binding EPC contract for a Mexican electrolyser and a cooperation pact covering Japanese offshore wind sit alongside fresh broker endorsements — and a fourth-quarter report now less than a week away.

Two brokers, one message

JPMorgan kept Siemens Energy at "Overweight" with a EUR 245 price target, with analyst Phil Buller pointing to an investor survey that revealed subdued expectations ahead of the upcoming quarterly report and the capital markets day. UBS had already reaffirmed its "Buy" rating and EUR 210 target on Wednesday, with analyst Christopher Leonard arguing that the losses suffered in the sector-wide selloff were not justified.

The stock has been recovering alongside a broader bounce in European AI equipment names, climbing 4.2% in the latest session after a 3.8% gain the day before. Reports attributed the earlier weakness to a global retreat from technology and AI shares, with fears over a possible end to heavy AI capital spending weighing on sentiment. Worries about stricter regulation of AI data centres — a sector Siemens Energy supplies — added to the pressure. None of the coverage identified a company-specific trigger for the declines.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Siemens Energy?

Mexico and Japan

On 30 October, Transition Industries signed a binding EPC contract with Siemens Energy and Techint Engineering & Construction for an electrolyser at the Pacifico Mexinol project in Sinaloa, Mexico. The facility is set to have a capacity of around 210 MW. The agreement remains subject to customary conditions precedent, including project financing, with construction scheduled to begin in early 2027.

A day earlier, Siemens Energy and Japan's METI signed a cooperation agreement covering floating offshore wind, supply chains and workforce development. The company plans to establish its first strategic operations and maintenance base in Asia, located in Hokkaido.

The 11 November test

All eyes now turn to 11 November, when Siemens Energy will publish results for the fourth quarter and the full 2026 fiscal year. The figures are due at 07:00 CET, followed by a press conference at 08:00 CET. An analyst webcast is scheduled for 10:00 CET.
