Siemens Energy: Two Bulls, One Hold, and a EUR 6–7 Billion Financing Package in the Wings

RBC keeps Outperform and EUR 200 target; DZ Bank lifts fair value to EUR 157 but stays Hold. Q4 results due November 11, 2026.

Analysts covering Siemens Energy are broadly aligned on one point: the company's upcoming numbers should land ahead of expectations. What they cannot agree on is what that outperformance is worth. The split emerged in research notes published on consecutive days, with RBC Capital Markets reaffirming its bullish stance on Friday and DZ Bank raising its fair value a day earlier while keeping its recommendation unchanged.

RBC analyst Mark Fielding maintained an "Outperform" rating and a EUR 200 price target. In a sector study, he pointed to improving revenue momentum across the industrial goods space despite lingering macroeconomic risks, and said he expects Siemens Energy's earnings before interest, taxes and amortization of intangible assets — EBITA — to come in above the consensus estimate. The call ties a more favorable industry backdrop to a specific earnings projection for the company. Both remain forecasts: an anticipated beat is not a reported figure, and sector-wide revenue momentum does not guarantee the same trajectory at Siemens Energy itself.

Same Direction, Different Conclusions

DZ Bank's Alexander Hauenstein took a more measured route. On Thursday he lifted his fair value estimate to EUR 157 from EUR 128, citing expectations of a modest overshoot against the 2025/26 guidance. The rating, however, stayed at "Hold." Hauenstein also flagged the possibility of higher medium-term targets.

That combination carries its own logic. A higher fair value signals a reassessment of worth, not an invitation to buy. The two houses are also measuring against different yardsticks: RBC framed its optimism around the earnings figure relative to consensus, while DZ Bank focused on the company's own guidance and the prospect of longer-range target revisions. DZ Bank expects the 2026/27 guidance to land roughly in line with consensus.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Siemens Energy?

Where the two notes converge is on the near-term outlook. Both anticipate a degree of earnings strength. Where they part ways is on what investors should do about it — a reminder that a shared directional view does not automatically translate into a shared rating.

A Possible Stake Sale Takes Shape

Running parallel to the earnings debate is speculation about the future of Siemens Energy's steam turbine business. Bloomberg reported that banks are preparing financing packages of between EUR 6 billion and EUR 7 billion to support a potential majority stake purchase by financial investors.

The preparations target prospective private equity buyers. They do not constitute an agreed purchase price, nor do they amount to a completed transaction. For shareholders, the distinction between operational earnings expectations and a possible deal remains the key dividing line.

The November Print Is the Real Test

Siemens Energy shares climbed 3.2% on Friday. The gain sits alongside the optimistic earnings assumptions but does not validate them, and pinning the move squarely on RBC's note would be a stretch.

The next scheduled milestone is November 11, 2026, when the company reports results for the fourth quarter and the full 2026 fiscal year. Until then, the analysts' projections remain exactly that. The bar is straightforward: beyond the expected strength of the quarterly close, the question is whether the guidance that follows clears the expectations already baked into the share price.
