Take-Two Braces for Earnings as GTA VI Marketing Machine Kicks Into Gear
Published on 11/07/2026 at 17:32 | Editorial boerse-global.deRockstar Games on Thursday released a fresh image gallery tied to the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, offering new screenshots from Vice City and other locations. The drop lands just days before parent company Take-Two Interactive reports fiscal second-quarter results, pushing the game back to the center of investor attention.
The gallery builds on Tuesday's announcement that digital preloading for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin on November 10, with the game itself set to launch on November 19. Take-Two's earnings release is scheduled for November 9 after the market close, covering the quarter ended September 30 — meaning the numbers arrive just ahead of the preload window.
Two Analysts, Two Directions
Macquarie initiated coverage of Take-Two with an "Outperform" rating and a $300 price target, according to media reports — the first time the firm has recommended the stock for above-average performance. Shares rose 1.5% on Friday to close at €193.10.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Take-Two Interactive?
BTIG, meanwhile, cut its price target to $262 from $313 on Wednesday while keeping its buy recommendation, so the lower mark did not come with a downgrade.
Ahead of the report, management had guided to net bookings of between $1.62 billion and $1.67 billion for the fiscal 2027 second quarter. That figure is the previously published forecast rather than reported results. GAAP net revenue was projected at $1.42 billion to $1.47 billion.
Zelnick on Piracy — and a Deeper Bench
Chief executive Strauss Zelnick on Thursday described piracy as a fact of life the company has to live with, according to media reports. Should it become a problem, Take-Two would deploy legal and technical countermeasures — framing the response as conditional rather than a blanket campaign against bootlegging.
Zelnick also pointed to the breadth of the company's portfolio, noting Take-Two owns 15 franchises in which at least one individual release has sold five million copies. The remark underscored the lineup beyond Grand Theft Auto VI.
