XRP Holds Firm as German Savings Banks Open a New Route In
Published on 10/25/2026 at 19:02 | Editorial boerse-global.deXRP traded at $1.31 on Friday, up 0.9% on the day — a modest bounce that stands out against a week in which a broad retreat from risk assets dragged Bitcoin and other major tokens lower. The advance came even as the token sat at $1.29 in the middle of the sell-off, underscoring how quickly sentiment has been swinging.
The immediate pressure on the token had little to do with XRP itself. A wave of selling in technology stocks and a general flight from risk weighed on the entire crypto complex, and yesterday's slump coincided with heavy liquidations. No single XRP-specific trigger has been established for the move.
Fund Flows Offer Support, Not a Signal
Spot XRP ETFs in the United States drew $4.3 million in net inflows from Monday through Thursday. No new fund shares were created on Friday, according to media reports — a detail that reflects the mechanics of share issuance rather than a halt in trading activity. The modest inflows provided a partial counterweight to the market-wide weakness, though they hardly amount to a powerful new demand impulse.
For investors, the more relevant question is whether those still-small inflows develop into sustained appetite. So far, the evidence points to steady interest rather than a broad turn in trend.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying XRP?
A New Distribution Channel, With Limits
On the supply side of access, participating German Sparkassen began a phased rollout of XRP trading through DekaBank on Wednesday. Availability varies by institution, so the service is not automatically open to every Sparkasse customer.
The structure of the offering also imposes constraints. DekaBank says custody is centralized, and withdrawals are restricted to selected crypto service providers. The new channel therefore widens the ways investors can reach XRP, but it does not amount to unrestricted transferability — and on its own it does not prove any additional buying demand.
Exchange Data Cuts Both Ways
On-chain metrics paint an ambiguous picture. Binance recorded average daily net inflows of 9.3 million XRP over the week under review, while the volume of large transfers fell 44% week-on-week and the quantity of tokens moved dropped 37%.
Those figures describe different facets of exchange activity. Positive net inflows indicate that deposits outpaced withdrawals; the decline in large transfers points to less activity in that segment of trading. Neither observation, taken alone, shows that the incoming XRP was actually sold. A report published Thursday made the same point: exchange deposits can reflect repositioning or custody moves just as easily as pending sales. The distinction between a transfer to a trading venue and an executed sale is what matters.
Shrinking whale activity is not automatically a sign of relief, and positive net inflows alone do not justify claims that large holders have already dumped their positions. The exchange data add a data point to the risk picture; they do not replace a solid explanation for individual price moves.

Ledger Work Continues on Two Tracks
Network developments remain a separate thread. The maintenance change fixCleanup3_4_0 is now expected to activate on November 4, after validator support briefly fell below the required threshold and the release window restarted. The upgrade is designed to close a gap in token creation and correct calculations for vault and lending functions.
Distinct from that work, temporarily delayed ledger closings returned to normal following a recommended configuration change, though a permanent software fix was still in preparation and the root cause had not been confirmed.
Taken together, the picture for XRP is mixed: funds are recording inflows and additional trading access is opening up, yet neither has been enough to offset the drag from broad risk aversion. The technical work, meanwhile, bears on the reliability of the network rather than on demand for the token itself.
