Large XRP holders moved 1.669 billion tokens onto Binance over a rolling 30-day window, according to CryptoQuant data cited in media reports — the heaviest such inflow in seven months. The figure has circulated widely, but it measures transfers, not completed sales. Coins sitting on an exchange represent a larger potential order book, nothing more. No executed trade, and no confirmed intent to sell, is captured by the metric.

That distinction matters more than the headline number. Exchange inflows describe where tokens are held; they say nothing about whether the holders will act on them. Treating the two as equivalent stretches the data past what it can support. For anyone assessing XRP, the reading is a possible supply overhang — not proof of fresh selling pressure from this cohort. The scale is worth watching. On its own it offers neither a confirmed catalyst nor a reliable forecast.

A Separate Supply Question, Already Closed

Running alongside the whale-transfer story was renewed coverage of a flaw in the XRP Ledger's payment engine — one that has already been fixed. Specially crafted payments could, under the right conditions, have generated XRP outside the network's rules. RippleX patched the issue on September 25. No evidence of exploitation on public networks has surfaced.

This is a different kind of supply risk from the Binance transfers. The exchange inflows concern existing tokens and how their owners might use them. The vulnerability concerned the irregular creation of additional XRP. The two should not be folded into a single narrative about supply actually rising. Ripple paid security firm Veria Labs a $250,000 bounty, per media reports, and the XRP Ledger's technical disclosure on October 9 likewise stated there were no signs of exploitation on a public network.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying XRP?

DriveWealth Taps RLUSD Settlement on the XRP Ledger

Ripple and DriveWealth announced a partnership covering the latter's global investment infrastructure. Per company statements, the arrangement spans RLUSD settlement on the XRP Ledger, Ripple Payments for cross-border financing, and Ripple's custody services. Settlement is set to begin in Europe first, with a US expansion planned.

The deal ties together payment settlement, financing and custody. Its concrete subject, though, is not the same as a purchase program for XRP. Network usage and demand for the token need to be weighed separately. The same logic applies to Standard Chartered's institutional RLUSD custody, announced Monday and launched through the bank's branch in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The bank is also working with Ripple and LMAX Group on a planned integration of RLUSD as collateral. That announcement concerns RLUSD and presumes no holding or use of XRP.

ETF Flows Return After a Three-Session Lull

US spot XRP ETFs logged net inflows again, drawing roughly $740,414 after three consecutive sessions with no net additions. Those flows touch XRP directly, unlike the stablecoin buildout — new RLUSD applications do not automatically translate into extra demand for the token.

XRP at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

fixCleanup3_4_0 Waits on Validators

A two-week activation window for the fixCleanup3_4_0 amendment opened October 5, with October 23 named as the earliest possible activation date. The trigger: validator support must stay above 80%. The amendment bundles bug fixes across several XRP Ledger functions, so its activation is not yet a done deal.

For holders, the lines stay clean. ETF inflows show capital moving into XRP investment products. The partnerships concern infrastructure buildout. On the network side, technical execution and validator sign-off still call the shots.
