Air Liquide said on September 30, 2026, that it will invest more than EUR 170 million to supply ultra-high-purity gases to a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Japan. Under a long-term agreement, the company said it will build, own and operate several production units supplying ultra-pure nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen, along with backup storage capacity. The project will support the expansion of the customer’s existing logic-chip production facility, according to the Air Liquide press release.
