Venezuela agreements
In a release dated October 5, 2026, Baker Hughes said it had signed two strategic agreements related to Venezuela’s energy infrastructure. One agreement established an alliance with PDVSA, Lindsayca and Fulcrum LNG to support natural gas infrastructure, including processing, transportation, commercialization and potential exports. A separate memorandum of understanding with New Stratus Energy was intended to support future oil and gas prospects. Baker Hughes described the alliance as a cooperation framework, with individual projects subject to definitive agreements, internal approvals and applicable U.S. sanctions and export-control requirements, including authorizations from the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. The company said its Venezuela operations include more than 1,200 oil production systems and approximately 240 turbomachinery units across 23 sites.
