Engie extends deadline for Belgian nuclear asset sale talks

On October 1, Engie said it had agreed with the Belgian state and Electrabel to extend the target date for concluding heads of terms on the potential sale of nuclear assets to the Belgian government to November 4. The company said additional time was needed to complete analyses and discussions because of the complexity and scope of the potential transaction, according to Alliance News.
Storage portfolio reaches 10.7 GW
In a September 4 corporate release, Engie reported that its global storage portfolio had reached 10.7 GW in operation and under construction across battery storage and pumped-storage hydropower assets. The company said its European battery storage expansion during July and August added 1.1 GW and 3.3 GWh across seven countries, according to Webdisclosure.
