Cloud platform launch
On September 24, FIS launched the latest version of its FIS Retirement Platform, which the company said is built on a cloud-native architecture and is available to retirement plan providers and third-party administrators. The platform uses a microservices architecture and is designed to support participant and adviser experiences on a unified recordkeeping foundation, according to the Business Wire release.
FIS said the platform is available now. Its roadmap includes personalized participant guidance, intelligent back-office automation and plan-health analytics, while the company said the system is intended to turn retirement data into actionable intelligence across participant engagement, operations and provider decision-making, according to the same release.
Banking franchise update
In a September 15 release, FIS said it had signed five de novo banks in the first half of 2026 and secured the core banking relationship for a newly created U.S. institution with more than USD 100 billion in assets. The company also said two top-15 U.S. banks had completed proofs of value for its progressive modernization approach, according to its investor-relations release.
