Thermal coal policy updated

On September 3, 2026, NN Group said it had strengthened restrictions on large thermal coal producers and companies developing new coal projects. The insurer also expanded exemptions and formalized the process for assessing them.

NN Group said its thermal coal policy guides proprietary investments and supports its commitment to phase out thermal coal exposure in its corporate investment portfolio by 2030.
