Ashe sets The Girl of Your Dreams for 16 October
The release announcement presents The Girl of Your Dreams as Ashe’s fourth studio album and first with Atlantic Records. Sacks & Co. confirms the release date and names Noah Conrad as producer and collaborator.
Conrad co-wrote Moral of the Story and co-produced Ashe’s debut album Ashlyn. The project links a new Atlantic release to a collaborator already tied to two recognisable parts of her catalogue. Among the songs associated with the album are Stop the Wedding! and Funeral.
Ashe brings songwriter craft to a pop album
Ashe is an American singer-songwriter from San Jose who studied orchestral composition at Berklee College of Music. She worked as a songwriter in Nashville before developing her solo recording identity. A BBC profile of Ashe traces that path from featured vocal appearances to a solo catalogue.
Her albums include Ashlyn, Rae and Willson, while she also formed The Favors with Finneas. The duo’s work sits alongside Ashe’s solo catalogue as she prepares The Girl of Your Dreams for Atlantic Records on 16 October 2026.
The new record moves between drama and whimsy
The album’s musical palette moves between comic drama and lush pop. A BBC track description says Stop the Wedding! uses abrupt tempo changes, while Lasso the Moon takes a whimsical route. Love Bomb explores emotional psychology, and Swan Lake uses a theatrical villain’s perspective. The arrangements recall ELO and the Carpenters, placing narrative songwriting beside deliberately large pop production.
