Duran Duran take the LANXESS arena date
The promoter’s listing confirms that Duran Duran play Cologne’s LANXESS arena on 8 October 2026. It gives Willy-Brandt-Platz 3 as the address.
The venue listing gives doors at 18:30 and a 20:00 start. LB Events describes the date as part of a twelve-date UK and European arena tour. Its listing gives further dates in Brussels on 26 October and Paris on 28 October.
Duran Duran’s Birmingham roots shape the lineup
The official biography places the band’s formation in Birmingham in 1978 and describes its early development. LB Events names Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor as the long-standing members.
The band’s sound is described as synth-pop, while its catalogue includes Rio, Hungry Like the Wolf, Girls on Film and Ordinary World. That four-member core gives the Cologne date a direct connection to the Birmingham group’s established identity.
Free To Love connects the concert to new music
The promoter’s listing presents Free To Love as a new single featuring Nile Rodgers, alongside the 2026 European shows. The collaboration links the Cologne concert with current material and the band’s established catalogue.
The same listing names Danse Macabre as Duran Duran’s sixteenth studio album. The concert programme therefore sits alongside both the group’s recent recorded work and its long-established synth-pop identity.
