Head Games Super Deluxe expands the catalogue on 30 October
Rhino’s announcement confirms the 30 October release and lists a 3CD + Blu-ray edition, black vinyl and digital editions. The label presents the package as a newly remixed and remastered version of Head Games, with Dolby Atmos audio completing the Blu-ray component.
Noise11 details the expanded edition with outtakes, alternate versions, a previously unreleased live recording and the previously unreleased track Trouble. That concert comes from the Head Games tour, while the companion seven-inch pairs Trouble with Zalia.
Foreigner’s current line-up carries the catalogue forward
The project is overseen by bassist Jeff Pilson and longtime production collaborator Wyn Davis. The release page lists Luis Carlos Maldonado on vocals, Pilson on bass, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, Bruce Watson and John Roth on guitar, and Chris Frazier on drums.
The release therefore links Foreigner’s present touring identity with the studio and concert archive behind Head Games. Its expanded form places newly mixed material beside recordings that open another view of the band’s catalogue.
Trouble adds a new thread to Foreigner’s archive
The newly surfaced Trouble features a guest guitar part by Peter Frampton and appears in a new remix. The accompanying Zalia pairing extends the edition beyond an album-only reissue.
The live material was recorded at Rochester Community War Memorial and includes songs such as Cold As Ice and Feels Like The First Time. The Blu-ray adds Dolby Atmos versions of the collection and the remixed studio album.
