Pharrell Williams shapes the sound of Muse
An Official Charts listing places the release on 23 October 2026 through Republic Records. Universal Music Canada describes it as the first project the two have undertaken together in more than two decades of friendship. The credits put their collaboration across the album rather than on one listed feature.
The official track list contains 16 songs, beginning with the title track and moving through pieces such as Pray For Ya, Her and Under The Bridge. The album draws on gospel, standards, doo-wop, classic soul, Afrobeat and hip-hop. Universal identifies Daylight as the lead single.
John Legend’s catalogue meets a Pharrell-built sound
The official album catalogue places Muse beside earlier releases including Get Lifted, Once Again, Evolver, Wake Up!, Love in the Future, Darkness and Light and Bigger Love.
That catalogue connects the collaboration with Legend’s established songwriting identity and the broader palette announced for Muse. Pharrell’s full production and co-writing place him in the album’s central creative roles, alongside the featured appearances named in the track list.
