Oasis are set to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on 14 November 2026. The induction ceremony places the Manchester band in the 2026 Performer class.
Oasis and the 14 November Rock Hall ceremony
The ceremony is the central event for the 2026 Performer class. That class also includes Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Sade and Wu-Tang Clan. The Hall’s official announcement of the 2026 class lists Oasis among the performers.
The ceremony will tape at the Peacock Theater before its December 2026 debut on ABC and Disney+. The same two outlets carried the announcement of the class during an American Idol episode devoted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Why Oasis are listed in the Performer category
Oasis emerged from Manchester and became one of the defining bands of the Britpop movement. The band’s official chart history places its rise alongside the group’s run of British singles and albums.
The catalogue includes Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? and Dig Out Your Soul. Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher remain the names most closely associated with the group, whose rock songwriting helped define its Britpop identity.
The Hall describes the Performer category as recognising artists whose originality, impact and influence changed the course of rock and roll. Oasis are listed in that category rather than among the Early Influence, Musical Excellence or Ahmet Ertegun honourees.
How the Oasis ceremony will reach viewers in December
The Los Angeles event will be taped on 14 November 2026 and will then debut on ABC and Disney+ during December 2026. The arrangement gives the ceremony both a theatre setting and a later television and streaming presentation.
