Phil Collins joins the 2026 Rock Hall performer class
The Rock Hall announcement lists Collins among the 2026 Performer-category inductees and places the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. That announcement sets the event for Saturday, 14 November 2026.
Other Performer-category inductees include Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan. Phil Collins is listed alongside them as a performer, rather than under the ceremony’s separate Musical Influence or Musical Excellence honours. Ed Sullivan is listed in the Ahmet Ertegun Award group.
Phil Collins is listed among the ceremony’s performer inductees
The 2026 ceremony recognises Phil Collins as a solo performer. That distinction separates his induction from the programme’s groups for Musical Influence, Musical Excellence and the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
The published class gives Collins a place in the ceremony’s main performer grouping, while the wider programme also honours songwriters, producers and other contributors. The arrangement places his name within a broad class of artists rather than a single-artist presentation.
The Los Angeles induction ceremony moves to December screens
Billboard’s ceremony details name Capital One as the presenting sponsor for the event and its broadcast. The partnership is the first presenting-sponsor arrangement in the ceremony’s 43-year history.
ABC will premiere the recorded ceremony on Tuesday, 8 December 2026. Disney+ and Hulu will carry it on 9 December 2026, extending the event beyond its Los Angeles staging.
