R.E.M. Reveal edition arrives on 20 November 2026

The release pairs the original record with The Black Sessions Revealed, an unreleased 17-song performance recorded for Radio France in Paris.
Reveal returns with a previously unreleased Paris session
The official announcement says the deluxe edition expands Reveal with The Black Sessions Revealed, an unreleased 17-song performance recorded for Radio France in Paris. The official page also describes new liner notes by journalist Birgit Fuss and fresh reflections from the band’s members through R.E.M.’s release details.
The release will be issued through Craft Recordings. A separate account lists the two-CD/Blu-ray format alongside a standalone two-LP vinyl release. The package therefore combines the album itself with a full performance document rather than offering another short extract.
R.E.M.’s catalogue gains a new archival release
R.E.M. emerged from Athens, Georgia, as an American alternative rock band built around Michael Stipe, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Bill Berry. A BBC profile identifies the group’s early college-rock setting and its principal members.
Reveal occupies a distinctive place in the catalogue because this edition expands a studio album with a complete performance from the same broad creative period. That pairing gives the release two listening routes: the finished album and a previously unavailable live document.
Reveal formats extend from deluxe discs to standalone vinyl
The package is designed for different listening formats. The deluxe two-CD/Blu-ray edition carries the album and the 17-song performance, while The Black Sessions Revealed also appears as a standalone two-LP set. A neon pink pressing is listed as exclusive to REMHQ.com, and the original album is also offered as a neon orange one-LP edition.
