Yes released Aurora deluxe edition on 2 October

Yes released the digital deluxe edition of Aurora on 2 October 2026, adding instrumental versions of the full album and a new video for Ariadne. The release expands the progressive rock band’s latest studio project through digital and physical formats.

Yes added instrumentals and video to Aurora deluxe edition

The expanded edition arrived on 2 October 2026, according to Yes’ official release notice. It keeps the album’s core material while adding instrumental takes of every track, giving the arrangements a presentation without the lead vocals. The release also included a new video for Ariadne, directed by Matt Hutchings.

Aurora was originally issued through InsideOutMusic and Sony Music. The expanded digital version sits alongside physical editions, including a limited deluxe 180g light green 2LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, artbook and poster set, as well as a deluxe 2CD, Blu-ray and artbook edition.

Yes’s current line-up and the progressive rock setting of Aurora

The line-up named with the release comprises guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood and drummer Jay Schellen. Together, they represent the current Yes line-up behind the album and its expanded presentation.

The instrumental versions put the group’s arrangements at the centre of the deluxe edition. Guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and vocal-free production can be heard as separate elements within the same album sequence, while the new Ariadne video adds a visual component to one of its songs.

How Yes presented Aurora across its deluxe formats

The Blu-ray editions add Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound and 24-bit stereo mixes by Curtis Schwartz. The physical packages also feature artwork by Roger Dean and Freyja Dean, connecting the new presentation with Yes’s established album-art tradition.

Alongside the deluxe packages, Aurora is available as a standard gatefold 180g 2LP with booklet, a special-edition CD digipak and a digital album. The format range places the instrumental material and the surround mixes within a release designed for different listening systems.
