Disneyland Resort is hosting Halloween Time in Anaheim through 31 October 2026, with Plaza de la Familia continuing at Disney California Adventure until 2 November 2026. The autumn programme combines Halloween attractions and entertainment with a DĂa de los Muertos celebration inspired by Pixar’s Coco.
The resort is in Anaheim, California, southeast of Los Angeles, and comprises Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Its current autumn programme gives visitors from Western Europe two overlapping seasonal experiences rather than a single one-day event.
Halloween Time runs across Disneyland Resort until 31 October
Halloween Time began on 21 August 2026 and continues through 31 October 2026. Disney’s official calendar lists the programme across both parks, with themed decorations, seasonal attraction versions and entertainment included with regular theme park admission. The official autumn events calendar places the dates alongside Plaza de la Familia and other fall offerings.
At Disneyland Park, the seasonal programme includes Haunted Mansion Holiday, which gives the attraction a Christmas-themed transformation inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Halloween Screams is also scheduled as a nighttime spectacular on selected nights. Disney California Adventure presents attractions including Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark.
The operator’s fall announcement also lists Mickey’s Trick and Treat as a daytime show at Disney California Adventure. Across the resort, seasonal decorations include the giant Mickey pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., while characters appear in Halloween-themed clothing. These details are set out in Disney’s 2026 fall programme announcement.
Plaza de la Familia links Anaheim with Coco and remembrance
Plaza de la Familia runs from 21 August through 2 November 2026 at Disney California Adventure. The celebration honours the spirit of DĂa de los Muertos through music, entertainment and opportunities to remember loved ones, with Pixar’s Coco providing its creative connection.
The programme includes The Storytellers of the Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco! street show, live mariachi music at the Paradise Garden Bandstand and a memory wall. The relationship between the two seasonal programmes is practical for visitors: Halloween Time ends on 31 October, while this separate cultural celebration continues for two further days.
Disneyland Resort opened on 17 July 1955 and introduced Disneyland Park as a new type of family entertainment venue. Today the site also includes Disney California Adventure, three hotels and the Downtown Disney District. The two parks make the seasonal programme larger than a single attraction or theatre show, with decorations and entertainment distributed across distinct themed areas.
