Fenway Park hosts Spartan Stadion on 7 and 8 November

Fenway Park hosts the 2026 Fenway Spartan Stadion Event Weekend in Boston on 7 and 8 November 2026. The public event brings a 5 km obstacle race, a children’s race and spectator access to the ballpark.

Fenway Spartan Stadion Event Weekend runs on 7 and 8 November

Organiser Spartan lists the event for Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 at Fenway Park, 4 Jersey Street, Boston. Its programme includes a Stadion 5K with 20 obstacles, a children’s race and spectator access on 7 November. The organiser’s event programme for Fenway Park identifies the venue and the two-day date together.

The race format changes the setting from a baseball ground into a temporary obstacle course. Spartan says competitors will move through the clubhouse, tackle obstacles along the Green Monster and finish at home plate. That route links the weekend’s athletic programme with three recognisable parts of the Boston ballpark.

Fenway Park’s 1912 opening frames the obstacle weekend

The Red Sox began building the park in September 1911, after owner John I. Taylor selected land in the Fenway neighbourhood. The club’s official timeline names James McLaughlin as chief architect and Osborn Engineering Company as the civil engineering firm. These details place the 2026 course inside a stadium whose construction began more than a century ago.

The ballpark opened in 1912 and remains the home of the Boston Red Sox. A history of the venue records its first professional game on 20 April 1912, when Boston played the New York Highlanders, later known as the Yankees. The official Fenway Park timeline documents the earlier construction stages, while Fenway Park’s opening history records the 1912 debut.

Inside the ballpark, the race follows baseball landmarks

The planned course uses parts of the ground that normally frame baseball rather than obstacle racing. The clubhouse, Green Monster and home plate therefore provide the physical link between the venue’s established sporting identity and the November programme. Spartan also lists a 1 to 1.5 km children’s race alongside the main Stadion course.

The organiser describes Fenway Park as a central Boston venue and gives 4 Jersey Street as the address. Course maps may change according to conditions, so the exact arrangement of obstacles is not fixed in the event listing. The named stadium features, however, are part of the published event description.
