- Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood starts on 21 November 2026 with daily events through 3 January 2027.
- Grinchmas, Merry Minions and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter are planned across named park areas.
- The Los Angeles theme park combines seasonal entertainment with the Studio Tour, Super Nintendo World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Universal Studios Hollywood (Universal Studios Hollywood) in Los Angeles will host Holidays at Universal from 21 November 2026, bringing Grinchmas, Illumination’s Merry Minions and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the theme park. The programme is scheduled to run daily through 3 January 2027.
Holidays at Universal begins on 21 November
The operator has listed Holidays at Universal as a park-wide event running from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The official programme says the seasonal activities are included with park admission, while annual and season pass conditions may apply.
The programme combines returning and new elements. Grinchmas returns, Illumination’s Merry Minions is presented as an all-new offering, and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will bring seasonal decoration to the wizarding area. The official holiday programme also names seasonal activity in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
Seasonal areas connect the park’s film worlds
Visitors will find the holiday programme across several named parts of the resort rather than at a single stage. Grinchmas is associated with the park’s Grinch-themed celebration, while Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter centres on the snow-capped village of Hogsmeade. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is listed with holiday decoration and character encounters.
The seasonal programme sits alongside the permanent attractions that define the Los Angeles site. The World-Famous Studio Tour takes visitors behind the scenes of film and television production. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter includes Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade and Ollivanders, while SUPER NINTENDO WORLD includes Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Toadstool Cafe, according to the park’s official park overview.
That combination gives the November start a clear practical distinction from an ordinary park visit: the same visit can include the Studio Tour and themed lands, then move into a seasonal programme spread through those areas. Universal’s announcement also identifies festive decoration and seasonal entertainment at Universal CityWalk, the adjacent shopping and entertainment district.
What the 2026 programme adds for visitors
The operator has named several forms of seasonal activity without publishing a complete daily timetable on the event page. Character encounters, festive decoration and special holiday entertainment are listed for the park. The page also mentions holiday merchandise and seasonal food and drinks, but these are additional commercial offerings rather than the central event date.
A separate Pass Member Holiday Park Takeover is listed for 1 and 2 December 2026. It is an after-hours activity requiring reservations for pass members, so it should not be confused with the main Holidays at Universal programme, which is listed for daily operation from 21 November.
