Compact Airframe, Serious Camera

The aircraft weighs less than 249 g with the standard battery, propellers, and a microSD card installed. DJI lists folded dimensions of 148 x 94 x 64 mm without propellers and unfolded dimensions of 298 x 373 x 101 mm with propellers.

The camera uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with 48MP effective pixels and an f/1.7 aperture. Video options include 4K at up to 100 frames per second, while the HDR recording mode reaches 4K/60fps. True Vertical Shooting supports portrait-oriented capture for compatible footage.

RC-N2 Controller And Flight Time

The RC-N2 package includes a controller that uses a connected phone as its display. PCMag lists the standard kit at $759 and identifies the package contents as the drone, one flight battery, a USB-C charging cable, two extra propellers, and the RC-N2 remote.

DJI's specifications page rates the standard battery for 34 minutes of flight time. The optional Intelligent Flight Battery Plus raises the stated figure to 45 minutes, but the heavier battery changes the aircraft's weight and operating conditions.

Obstacle Sensing And Transmission

Mini 4 Pro uses an omnidirectional vision sensing system for obstacle detection around the aircraft. DJI also lists APAS and ActiveTrack 360° features for automated subject tracking and flight assistance.

The DJI O4 transmission system supports a maximum stated transmission distance of 20 km under the applicable conditions. Video recording reaches 150 Mbps, and supported color modes include Normal, HLG, and 10-bit D-Log M.

Where The RC-N2 Kit Fits

The RC-N2 version is the lower-priced controller configuration in DJI's Mini 4 Pro range. The RC 2 version adds a built-in display and was listed at $959, compared with $759 for the standard RC-N2 edition.

The smaller aircraft, vertical shooting mode, obstacle sensing, and 4K HDR recording place this model above basic camera drones. Its limits are equally concrete: the RC-N2 controller requires a phone for the control screen, and the 34-minute figure is a rated maximum rather than a guaranteed flight duration in every condition.
